Financial planning became personal long before it became my profession.

My story

An educator who became a financial advisor

Joshua “Josh” Valdez began in academe, not in finance. Trained in agricultural biotechnology and animal science at the University of the Philippines Los Baños, he spent his early career as a teaching associate. He learned how to break down complex ideas until they actually made sense to the person in front of him.

That instinct carried into financial planning. Josh saw how many Filipinos were smart, hardworking, and responsible, yet still uncertain about how to organize their money, protect their families, and prepare for the future. Not because they lacked discipline, but because no one had ever explained it clearly.

So Josh approached financial planning the way an educator would: teach first, understand the person, and only then talk about solutions. That philosophy became the foundation of everything he does today.

Why I understand your problem

I have met the breadwinner who holds everything together and tells no one

Josh works with Filipino professionals, breadwinners, OFWs, young families, executives, and business owners. He understands the weight of being the one everyone counts on, the guilt of not having a plan yet, and the quiet fear that a single setback could undo years of sacrifice.

You are not behind. You are not irresponsible. You are simply someone who was never taught how to organize all of this. That is exactly who Josh built his practice to serve.

Financial planning does not have to feel complicated. It just has to feel honest.

The breadwinner

Carrying the family’s future on one income and wondering if it is enough.

The parent

Worried about a child’s education and a retirement that keeps moving.

The professional

Earning well but with no clear map from income to lasting wealth.

The business owner

Protecting both the business and the family that depends on it.

What I stand for

The values behind the advice

Financial planning is a relationship of trust. These are the values Josh holds himself to.

My approach

My approach to financial planning

A clear sequence, not a script. We work through it together, at your pace.

01

Understand where you are

We begin with your real situation: your income, your responsibilities, and what keeps you up at night.

02

Clarify where you want to go

Goals become specific. Family, health, retirement, education, legacy. In your words, not a template.

03

Identify what could stop you

We name the risks and the gaps between today and the life you are working toward.

04

Prioritize what matters

Not everything at once. We sequence what protects you first, then what builds your future.

Goals first. Solutions second.

Then, and only then, we explore appropriate financial solutions when necessary.
